its kinda like poems where some guy has to come along and make some sorta commentary about the deep underlying meanings of something completely random.

not that I'm saying they never mean something. Un chien andalou, or whatever french words they were, was the most detrimental experimental film I've ever seen. While its credited to be completely random so far as material goes, what it shows is that the creator is sick SICK sick man. when random to you means dead corpses of horses and priests tied to a man trying to beat a woman, a severed hand people poke, and some other hands that ants are crawling from, thats not random, thats specific. That's "my mind is depressing scary place, so heres something disturbing"
